Two days after Christmas, I left for Thailand. I spent the first few days babysitting and then went to a retreat. Its always fun in Thailand because I get to see alot of people, and of course, the food is great. Here are a few pictures.

After Thailand, I went with 3 friends to Malaysia for vacation. It was alot fun. Unfortunately, it rained and the sun never really came out. That cut down on our beach time, but we found ways to amuse ourselves. The best word we had for the trip was "random." The pictures below will lend to that description.
Upon our arrival, we realized we didn't really know where we were at or even much about the island. (I like non-planned vacations!) I still haven't figured out which ocean we were in.

One of my newest "passions" is paintings. I bought three.
Yes, the horse was tied to the jet ski.

We took this boat 3 hours to another island.

One day we rented a car and explored the island. I had forgotten how much fun it is to just ride around in a car with friends. It was also my first time to drive on the left side of the road in a standard. It was fun though, and there was no incidents. Well, nothing major. In case you were worried, I wasn't driving during this picture.

This is one of the places we stayed. It wasn't exactly the Hilton, but for $5 a night, who can complain.
It didn't have hot water, but it did have a pet monkey.

Speaking of monkeys, I think this one was attacking that car. Have I ever mentioned my strong distaste for monkeys? In honor of my strong dislike for them, and because I was in a car for once, we played a fun game where we tried to hit them. lol. I almost got one... Yes, it is cruel I know, but they are NOT nice! Don't let their cute looks fool you!

The pink dot in the middle is us.

I decided to try rock-climbing. I was a natural! haha

One of the main attractions on the island was a very large eagle.

Fly April! You can do it!

On the way back from Malaysia we stayed in Bangkok.

In Bangkok they have an Outback Steakhouse. It was pretty much amazing!

And now I'm back home...
